Warranty and Returns Policy

Shinytech stands behind the quality of products we offer. However, we do not live in a perfect world. In the instance that there are issues with the product purchased, we accept the return of the product for replacement or refund.

Change of Mind

We understand that there are instances where you might change your mind about your purchases. Shinytech offers a 14 day change of mind policy. Products returned must be in “as sold” condition. That means that products must returned in original undamaged packaging with complete accessories and instruction manuals supplied. Products that meet the mentioned “change of mind policy” will have the refund returned to the original payment method.

Return freight for products under change of mind policy is covered by the purchaser. Freight or Shipping costs paid on the original invoice under the Change of Mind Policy is not refundable.

Warranty Policy

Shinytech offer 12 months warranty, unless stated otherwise in the product copy or Care/Warranty tab on the products page on our website. The products we offer comes with guaranteed that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The customer is entitled to a replacement or refund should a major failure occur and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Our customers are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced should the products fail to meet acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Should there be defects in materials, components and workmanship is identified within the specified warranty period, Shinytech will decide to repair or replace the product.

Warranty is subject to inspection and determined that the defect was not caused by or contributed by external and other factors beyond our control. This includes mis-use, excessive use, improper installation, maintenance, repair, tampering or modifications to the product that is not stated and recommended by the manufacturer.

Warranty can be claimed by contacting Shinytech and returning the product within the Warranty Period with the original Tax invoice. Postage and Freight to and from in relation to warranty claims is the responsibility of the customer.

Your warranty may be voided if:

l   The product is physically damaged

l   The product is installed by an unqualified person

l   The product is subject to excessive force or repetitive/undue strain

l   The product is dismantled, modified, cut or deformed

l   The product is painted, marked or soiled from installation or improper use

l   The product is subject to contaminants such as sand, water, etc

l   The product is subject to weather, pets or pests

Your warranty does not cover:

l   Damage to other equipment

l   Shipping costs associated with returned goods

l   Loss of income/revenue resulting from downtime

l   Packaging and/or some non-critical accessories

l   Costs associated with removing permanently installed items

l   Technical or hardware incompatibility

l   Damage from environmental conditions (e.g.: salt air corrosion)

*Normal Use is defined as any purpose for which the product is specifically states as being suitable, in accordance with any and all proper procedures during installation and operation of the product, with an emphasis on home and office applications. Permanent installation of our products may require the professional services of a trained or qualified tradesman to maintain coverage. Industrial or Commercial use may not be appropriate for all our products.

Product Returns

To return a purchased item, please read through the information on this page and notify info@shinytech.com.au within 14 days of taking delivery of the product.

Shinytech is dedicated to protecting your consumer rights and upholding our responsibilities as a respected Australian business. When things go wrong, we want to find solutions as quickly as possible so that you can get back to enjoying your purchase. The following sections detail how we process different types of returns - please read the relevant information carefully before return the products.

Product Faults & Delivery Issues

Shinytech will cover the cost to send replacements for confirmed faulty items.

Confirming a product fault may require additional troubleshooting steps where applicable.

l   If a fault cannot be confirmed via troubleshooting, the item may need to be returned to us for testing at the customers expense.

l   When goods are tested and found to be fully functional, they will be returned at the customer's expense. The current full-price cost of shipping will be charged, as our standard discount rates only apply to new orders. Alternatively, a refund minus a 15% restocking fee may be offered.

l   Full refunds are only available on products we confirm as faulty using common consumer-level Home Theatre equipment.

l   Incompatibility with existing customer hardware does not constitute a fault except when it contradicts the product description, or reasonable expectation of performance based on the product description.

l   Shinytech assumes no liability for lost, misdirected or stolen mail where incorrect delivery information or an Authority to Leave has been given.

l   Returning goods must be complete with all parts and packaging unless otherwise arranged.

l   Free gifts and items provided at no cost are not covered by our warranty or returns policy.

Incorrect Purchases & Non-Faulty Returns

l   Non-faulty items* may be returned within 30 days of purchase for either a full store credit of their receipted value, or an exchange, provided they are in perfect 'as-new' condition with all parts and packaging.

l   Returning non-faulty items for a refund will incur a 15% restocking fee.

l   Customers must cover the cost of shipping when returning goods to us.

l   In the event of an exchange, customers must cover the full cost of shipping on re-delivery, as our standard discount rates only apply to new orders. This value will be the current cost of the service as charged by the carrier. Customers may choose between full-price regular or express services.

l   Returned goods which arrive damaged or incomplete are subject to a mandatory 15% restocking fee. Please take care to protect your returns against transit damage.

l   Products designed for personal use (ie: Headphones and Sports armbands, etc) cannot be accepted back under any circumstances due to hygiene concerns, unless the item is deemed faulty. If you have broken the seals or opened the packaging , the product is deemed unsafe for resale.

l   Free gifts need not be returned - they're all yours!

How to Perform a Warranty Claim

1. Contact the sales team via email from our contact us page on our website.

2. We will require detailed information of the fault provided over email.

3. We will require high resolution photos of the top and bottom of the product to show product has not been mis-used or abused.

4. We will require a short video showcasing the issue mentioned on the product.

5. Once all information is received and reveiwed, Shinytech will ascertain the Warranty Claim.

6. Once Warranty assessment is completed, the product will have to be returned to our address: PO BOX 3701, Marsfield NSW 2122

7. Products returned under warranty claim will fall within our warranty policy.
